Summer Positions
There are three position categories that SSUI needs to fill for the summer sessions. The positions are as follows:

Residence Directors
Three positions are available. Applicants must be graduate students. Priority consideration will be given to application material received by early February. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. The Directors will work together and serve as senior staff in a residence-hall team environment. Duties are varied and include administrative support, community building, coaching, programming, staff training and development, liaison with Conference Services and other duties as assigned by the Director.

Personal Coach
Approximately ten positions are available. Applicants must be graduate students with strong counseling skills. The application deadline is always in early February. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. The personal coach serves as a catalyst for change for students participating in SSUI. The personal coach reports directly to the Director.

Resident Advisors
Approximately ten positions are available. The Resident Advisor (RA) is a peer advisor and educator who works with residents to assist them in addressing their needs within the University community. The position is challenging, because the RA works with students and administrators, learns to articulate rights and responsibilities for both the individual, and the University, and balances his or her own pressures of academic and personal responsibilities. To support, guide, and direct, the Resident Advisors, and professional staff members work to create a safe, secure environment that fosters the educational mission of the University and enhances the personal development of students.

If you are interested in any of these positions please contact the SSUI office at 111 Waverly Avenue, Suite 220 or call 443-1095 for further information.
